Silmat Chisti is the founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh SME Corporation Limited (BSCL), a company providing innovative financing and structuring solutions for the under-served MSME sector. She has an MBA from Yale University in Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College in Economics and Mathematics. Prior to BSCL, Chisti was the Head of the Investment Banking of Citibank NA Bangladesh, where she lead several landmark transactions, including the largest IPO for Grameenphone, and the first Tier 2  bond under BASEL II for Prime Bank. Her career in finance spans over a decade at some of Wall Street’s top investment banks. Her tenure as a global investment banker spans North American and Asia-Pacific markets, in a variety of fields including corporate investment banking, equity capital markets, asset backed securities and principal investing.
